Ecopolys “Villages-Nature” – Marne-la-Vallée, 2005-2011

Situated 6km from the Disney parks, the first French tourist ecopolys, “nature villages», plans several mutually complementary villages combining the themes of Water, Land and Forest on a 520 hectare site spread over the municipal districts of Bailly-Romainvilliers, Coutevroult and Villeneuve-le-Comte.

The tourism concept of this project is based on harmony between man and nature. It is to be developed over 15 to 20 years and in time will accommodate 20 to 25,000 people in 5,000 tourist and residential houses and apartments and have facilities for a full range of leisure activities – sports, arts and edu-fun – designed for all European clienteles.

Each of the 4 villages under study is organised around a different theme:

a land theme, highlighting the French countryside, agricultural life, the farm and crafts;

the theme of sport and health, proposing many sports activities as well as a fitness centre and health- and lifestyle-related activities (diet, relaxation, etc.);

a water theme, featuring a water park with an outdoor pool heated all year to 30° thanks to geothermal energy (in line with the type of activities proposed by Center Parcs);

a forest theme, as an extension of Disney’s Ranch Davy Crockett campsite with Davy Crockett’s Adventure.
