Located in an exceptional setting on the banks of the Seine, the Château de La Roche Guyon hosts the «Plants Pleasures Passions» event every spring, a festival of plants, nature and associated arts.
Inherited from the Enlightenment period (18th century), for a weekend the castle returns to its original vocation as a place of creation set in the artistic, technological, scientific and economic reality of its time. A time that is inconceivable without the civic dimension of sustainable development and the preservation of biodiversity to which «Passions Pleasures Plants» subscribes.
This plant event takes over all areas of the castle, allowing visitors to rediscover the kitchen garden, the stable yard and the higher castle courtyards, the orangery, the caves and the English garden, thus providing an exceptional setting to 82 exhibitors, producers, landscapers, gardeners and artisans.
The landscape architect Thierry Huau and the designer Hervé Rivoalland devise and orchestrate these three days dedicated to plants, related know-how and associated arts, as a festival for plant lovers.
This event focuses on exchanges, balances and interactions between the monument, its terrain, its area, its people, its fauna and its flora while preserving the multifaceted character of this ecosystem.
