Restanques du Golfe de Saint-Tropez – Port Grimaud (Var), 1997-1999

The project is based on the construction of:

an exotic trail organised around southern Mediterranean vegetation.

a nature trail going through a thicket of hundred year old oaks, including a theatre for the circus school, hiking trails and collections of local plants.

a swimming and water gardens trail consisting of 1600 m² of pools including a wave pool with geyser, a lagoon with slides and a beach around a solarium.

These spaces are organised in a paddy field pattern and have steep slopes.

Each one of the pools features selected collections of Mediterranean and subtropical aquatic plants.

a lake trail based on the creation of a 1.5 ha lake featuring reed beds, a taxodium garden, a bird sanctuary, an amphitheatre of greenery and a jetty.

a maze of scents and a gourmet trail that follow the layout of the terraces decorated with roses, jasmine, violets, mimosa, and fig, almond and olive trees.
